Quilting Right Along

The quilt is all put together.  Now I'm working on finishing it.

I have the square layer on top, then the batting, then the backing.





I pinned it together with about 100 pins and then basted it in four directions.




I bought a spool of embroidery floss to use as ties all over the quilt to keep the batting from shifting. My sister said to put one at each corner and in the center of each square.


Hopefully this holds it in place, it seems sparse.

All that's left to do is finish the edge!

  1. now I know why I don't sew, it would have been in the closet after the first cut. YOUR doing a great job your Mom & Gram would be proud !!!!
