Okay, so I lived...

No, my plane did not crash, my children are not orphans, my sister does not have to get into my house and throw away anything I would rather not have anyone see. Yes, I am alive. Our trip to New York was great! We had so much fun, good food, and a limo service driver for the record books.

So this picture looks a little different from the last time we were in NYC. But we are still bundled up. Maybe we should go there in nice weather for once! It was a fast weekend, but fun. We saw a show- Rock of Ages- went to Ground Zero, Battery Park, Canal Street and had the best Italian dinner ever. Thanks Bob and Nic, for a wonderful weekend!

My thankfulness goes to great friends, Bob and Nicole, can't imagine life without you! : )

Lazy Weekend Breakfast

French toast all puffy on the griddle.
The finished product with blueberry syrup and a glass of moo juice.
Cinnamon bun cut in half and toasted on the griddle. Mmmm.

There is nothing more satisfying on a cold winter morning than a nice warm breakfast. I love making syrup with blueberries. You just take a half cup of pancake syrup and add 2/3-3/4 cup of fresh blueberries. I froze blueberries last summer after the girls and I went picking. That is an addictive sport. As you walk
up and down the aisles of bushes, you spot a plump, blue specimen. You put it in your bucket. Then you see another one. And another. You feel you cannot possibly leave that berry over there...until...you have 6 buckets full of berries that cost you
$65.

I have to admit that I am having so much fun with my new camera and that I am taking pictures of everything. My husband thinks I'm crazy. Now he is asking me if I want to get a picture of meals and food in general. While the girls and I were out, he took a picture of his breakfast.
Doesn't that look delicious?

This week has the potential for 3 basketball games. So, I will post when I am able.
Friday we leave for New York City. Hopefully I will be able to get back here before we go....

Today I am thankful for blueberries. They are SO good for you! lol! Also, for cold storage, a.k.a. the freezer. How did people do it in the old days? I wish my Grandma were still here to fill me in on these things.
